What’s new with me, you might have wondered?
This year has been busy and has obviously taken me away from blogging. Between writing a 170-page report for work, stopping my role teaching the Bible Study, and a new ministry initiative, my attention has been diverted.
David’s two-year position has just ended and we are embarking on a new adventure.
We have spent the last several months solidifying our thoughts on what we’d like to be doing together in ministry and formulating a proposal for doing ministry in our neighborhood.
We’ve had lots of meetings with key decision makers and influencers in the diocese of Dallas, and we’ve begun the daunting task of support raising.
Our ultimate goal is to have the freedom to do ministry in innovative ways in our community. This is our purpose statement as a couple doing ministry together. It’s a new endeavor for us both to be working alongside one another. We will encounter—we have already—rough patches, and we will need your prayers and support.
In order to carry out our goal, we have launched an initiative within our community to do ministry. We hope to be evangelists and missionaries to our community, to the young people moving down our street and into our neighborhood. We look forward to sharing more with you once a decision has been reached on whether we will be able to move forward with the blessing of the church.
Have you ever put together a “purpose statement” for your life? If not, what would you want it to be?

God has put this on your all’s heart, so I know exciting things will happen around you. Great mission! Prayers for you both. How can we help be a part of this?
Thank you for your prayers and for asking how you can be a part of it. Most important is prayer for revitalization of the neighborhood and a softening of people’s hearts to be open to learning about faith. You can also partner with us financially, either with a one-time or recurring gift. Email me: keeleychorn at gmail dot com for more information. Thank you!
Sounds really interesting! Can’t wait to hear more.
Thanks Lindsey, we’re excited and hope to be able to share more soon!
Congratulations, Keeley! It’s so exciting to read about your purposes for the future…we will definitely be praying that your planning and work would be fruitful 🙂
Thank you Maura and congratulations on your precious new son!
Keeley, I believe with all my heart that with the energy you and David both have, God’s will WILL be done. You have gifts – and God wouldn’t have given them to you if He didn’t have something in mind! Be patient. Be open. Your path will be clear. “…Trust in God with all your heart. Do not depend you your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do ..and He will show you which path to take.” Much love to you both.
Cindy, thank you so much for your encouragement and prayers! I hope you are doing well. I’ve missed seeing you.
