Be Present. This is the theme of this year’s Catalyst Dallas conference. Be present with God. Be present with your neighbor. Be present with a friend who is different from you. What does being present mean to you?
To me, it means listening for God, engaging His story for my life, learning from others, stretching and reaching out in ways that scare me. To be present with God means to trust Him.
GET YOUR FAMILY'S FAITH LIFE MOVING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION
Want to get consistent sharing Jesus with your family and know it's making a difference? This 6 Faith Habits to Consistency checklist will give you quick ideas to steadily point your family to Jesus' amazing love.
Despite the lights, flash, and show, Catalyst opens my eyes to see God as the awesomely amazing God He is. I see His people at work in mighty ways in the world proclaiming and making His name known.
The conference opens my heart and eyes to see God’s church as bigger than the building down the street where I’ve gone for years to worship and have struggled to find my place. It opens my eyes to God’s work and to God’s call on my life. It allows me to dream big and know that God is bigger than my most amazing dreams.
The next two days, I plan to “Be Present” at Catalyst and to listen for the stirrings of God’s voice deep within my soul. I plan to dream and pray that I will have the courage to step out in faith for God in those dreams.
What does being present mean to you? In what ways are you being present?

Glad your blog is back. I have missed you. Glad that you are able to go to this conference and that it continues to show us how big and wonderful our God is.
Thanks! I hope the blog is back…! I had to just step out again and Catalyst provided the catalyst 😉
For me being present means being “all in” for the people that God places into your life by giving them the love, time, attention, advice, hugs, and kisses that they need when they need them. Being present means being “all in” and hearing ALL the things that God is speaking into your life and following his call because you heard it clearly.
Thanks for sharing Terrence. I think that’s a great statement of being present! I’m still working out hearing all the things God is saying and hearing them clearly! I hope you enjoyed the conference! -Keeley
