Introduction
I want to share with you a knee prayer for healing I wrote when I was suffering from a mysterious knee injury that would not heal. I did not know if I would be able to live without pain, bend my knee, or walk without crutches again, so it’s a prayer for knee pain too. This is a prayer that anyone can pray for their own knee pain.
Ideas on how to use this knee prayer:
- Take these words and make them your own for your own life’s pain, whether physical or spiritual.
- Use them as a prayer for knee pain or even as a prayer for healing after knee surgery. Or, it could be a prayer for healing any surgery.
- Pray them as a prayer for pain, whatever your pain may be (change “knee” to whatever your pain is). May these words be your healing prayers for pain.
- Pray it as a prayer for pain relief for a friend, changing the “my” to “my friend [insert your friend’s name]’s.”
- Send it to your friend with a note that you found this prayer for pain relief for a friend and are praying this for them right now and want for them to have it as their own prayer too.

The Knee Prayer: Healing Prayer for Knee Pain

My dear Heavenly Father,
I come before you today broken and ailing. You know my pain and you know its cause.
I pray for my heart and mind and soul during this time of uncertainty. Lord, I pray that I will seek you out as my Comforter and my Healer. I pray that you will show me your love and point me to you. I pray that I will be diligent in my prayers to you. Lord, I need to be aware of your presence now more than ever.
I pray for all of those who hear my story about my knee pain. I pray that they would be compassionate and that I wouldn’t be complaining. Help me be more thoughtful about my communication. Lord, let me point to you with my words.
Most importantly, I pray that someday soon I will be able to walk fully again and without aid. Lord, I long for the day when I can delight in running again.
Lord, I plead with you to show me your love. Work for the good in me, for I love you. I pray for healing and for a solution to my pain. I pray for an end to this period of pain and disability.
Lord, I pray that you will be with me. Lord, I pray that you will comfort me.
Above all, I pray that you will heal me. Stand beside me and help me through this. You know I love you. You know I seek you. Lord, you are my all. Grant me rest.
Help me remember and thank you for Jesus, who knows extreme pain. I pray that I will seek solace in knowing that his pain was suffered on my behalf. Lord, I do not have a god who knows no pain, but You have experienced and suffered just as I do now. Lord, I thank you for the cross. I thank you for Jesus.
In His precious name I pray,
Amen.
(God has answered this prayer for me in my life. Praise God! I really do believe in his power to heal us physically.)

I need prayer for neck pain that won’t go away after about 2 days. I have taken pain pills, talk to my doctor, tried ointments, and hot and cold packs. I want relief from this before Christmas in the name of Jesus. Please pray for me for healing.

Hi, I too question power of prayer, especially for healing. Most people thanked God for being healed, but what if He chooses not to heal but take away? Do many thank God for taking away loved ones in disasters, accidents, illness?

Your prayer is beautiful. I noticed you posted it on my birthday two years ago. I have had lots of spinal surgeries and recently had a pain pump put in, its been the toughest surgery of my life (after 15 of them), I had to be intibated twice during the surgery and ended up in critical ICU fighting for my life, severe breathing problems and the pain is MUCH worse then its ever been, totally unbearable at this time. I have alot of problems with walking now and its definately brought me to my knees in tears. I know that God is the answer and I pray all the time. Your prayer is beautiful and I will pray that prayer each day and thank God for him healing you and other people, I hope I can be healed, I had many spinal surgeries and now again my fusions are weak and giving me pain again after my neck surgery around 10 years ago. I had 3 spinal surgeries and 2 hip replacements starting around age 50, now I’m 62 and its happening again. Please give me strength to carry on Jesus and heal my pain so I can be a better christen with my family and friends because of my pain, I’m just not the same and I try so hard not to complain but my family and friends see it in my face and I don’t want them to feel bad and suffer because of me and they do because they hate seeing me this way.

I need prayers, I broke my knee 4 years ago and still have pain in it, i can’t run, i’m praying relentlessly for healing
I am so sorry for your pain Eliam. I will say a prayer for you as well. Have you also seen a doctor, physical therapist, taken supplements and other means for healing? I’m a believer in making use of all the gifts that God has provided us with. Pain is so hard though. I know it takes an emotional toll as well, especially as long as you’ve been dealing with it. I just googled prayers for healing and found this! I am an injured runner as well! I’ve had tendinitis in my right ankle, and now I have nerve pain/inflammation in this area. So to keep up my cardio, I started riding a bike a few months ago, and then I fell about two weeks ago, hurting my right knee! Now I’m just mess!
I’ve been praying for healing for my tendons, nerves, ligaments, everything. I miss running very much but have still remained connected to my running group in other ways. I’m excited to learn you have been restored! I know this post is a few years old and I hope you are still running!

Oh Rosemarie, that sounds so painful and hard. I can tell you are really struggling. It is hard not knowing what is next and if the pain will ever subside. Yesterday I prayed for my knee to heal, woke up this morning and my merciful God has healed my knee, thank you Jesus I’m able to walk much better and hardly any pain. God is so amazing! Gotta keep the faith!🙏

Dear Keeley Cohen as Isat waiting in the doctor’s office just about an hour ago for a script for an MRI on my right knee and my left hand you see I fell off an electric bike of mine and badly hit my right knee in which I had already had a very serious surgery on from an accident when I was 10 years old by the time I was 15 I had had to have a bone taken from my hip and put in that in that knee so now at 55 years old I have hit that exact knee not to mention my left hand I had a boxer’s break 22 years ago and that’s the same hand I also hit also it is left me an excruciating pain and I’ve looked to my father and Lord Jesus Christ for divine intervention and Divine Healing I believe the power of Prayer and I believe the fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much so as I said there and that doctor’s office I just Googled prayers for a Wounded Knee and meniscus possible tear I have no idea what’s going on the x-rays was inconclusive that’s why I was sent for an MRI because the x-rays were possibly picking up old scar tissue and it was heavily bruised and wounded terribly it all is a mystery to me right now but it’s not a mystery to God anyway your blog came up about your knee it was astounding because it was exactly what I’m dealing with I cannot extend my knee and it will not Bend but I know in the word of God he says he goes before us to make the Crooked places straight and I have spoken his word that sharper than any double-edged sword to the division of spirit and soul and joint and Marrow over my situation so I just wanted to thank you for posting that it encouraged me and reminded me that God said what I do for one I can do again he’s no respect of persons or religion or background and so I stood United with that prayer that you prayed believing that God will answer my prayer also I will walk again in freedom and liberty without pain my knee will bend and extend and be stronger than ever before by his stripes only and by his Divine Healing power I need a supernatural Divine Healing miracle I desire that so will you be in agreement with me is why I write this in Jesus name thank you for your encouragement and may God and richly bless your life and your family💘

I personally need healing for fibroid tumors a doctor told me I needed surgery to remove… I believe God can heal but I do have some doubt. I guess I need to pray more that He would help me believe? That if it’s His will, I will be healed of the fibroids? And other issues, like emotional healing, etc. is needed. He is so good though. He has been so good to me already. I am so encouraged to read the testimonies in the comment section already.
