Life is not perfect just because you believe in God. No matter who we are, we’re going to face challenges and tough times, and nothing is going to shield us from the hardships, missteps, bad decisions, and sudden changes of life.
Change is difficult and we never know when our lives are about to change. Most of us don’t like change, a lot of us fear it, and some of us resist it at all cost. But change is necessary if we want to grow and learn new things and have new experiences in life. Most of all, change is necessary if we’re going to become what God intends for us to be.
Without change there’s no potential for something new to happen in our lives. When we move through life avoiding change we get stuck. Nothing seems to be happening except the passing of time. We find ourselves stuck deeper and deeper in a rut. Mediocrity sets in and soon we’re living life on cruise control. We’ve become comfortably numb. But that’s not the life that God has in mind for any of us.

On top of this so many of us feel buried under the weight of bad experiences, past failures, financial and emotional burdens that we’ve forgotten how to dream. We don’t know that there are gifts and talents lying dormant within us.
And that’s exactly where the enemy wants our talents and gifts to remain—dormant within us. Unused. He knows that God has given these gifts to us. God wants us to use them so that we will change and grow and soar to new heights. To discover and use our God-given talents spells disaster for the enemy. And so the devil will use everything in his arsenal to keep us down.
That’s when a fundamental change has to take place within all of us. We must decide that whatever it takes, we’re not going to allow the enemy to keep us down or hold us back from what God wants to do in and through us.
Are you ready to make the necessary changes for God to take you higher?
